Welcome to Your Rowan, a central place for sharing positive information about Rowan County, North Carolina.

We’re all about connecting and promoting goodwill about the amazing places and people that make Rowan a great place to live, learn, work and play. We look around and see all the good in this community, and we’re here to share it with you. And we want you to share your good news, too.

It’s smart business. And it makes you feel good about the place we call home.

Rowan County is a place where you can be as connected as you desire to be.

These connections are built in our schools, businesses, houses of worship, local attractions, and any gathering place. They bond us together and Your Rowan is all about celebrating these connections.

To help us promote these connections, we’ve enlisted a team of local ambassadors to tell Rowan’s story. Think of them as bloggers and social media influencers. These individuals are called Connectors. We have our Connectors spread out all over the county, looking for original stories. You’ll see it in their monthly blog posts and social content, and we hope that you will spread it around.

Each Connector represents a different category to focus their storytelling. These are called Connections and include Arts, Attractions, Business, Education, Greenspace, Health, High Rock Lake, and Municipalities.

Connect with us and build pride in Our Rowan.

Salisbury/Rowan Success is Built on Generosity of Our People

We would not be where we are today — in this opportune place to live, work and play — without the generosity of others that came before us and it continues today. It is important that we “pay it forward” and never let go of that spirit, taught to us by the hard-working, community-minded people who made the right choices.

What’s That Sound Coming Down? It’s Music in Our Towns

There’s a change in the wind, and it involves the word “music.” It’s a good change, or rather a good addition. More and more, our cities and towns are beginning to provide musical entertainment for their citizens, much of it in the form of live music. It’s everywhere, especially this time of year.
